Safety and Security
At Billings Lodge Retirement Community, we know that nothing is more important to families than knowing that their loved one is safe and secure. The main doors of Billings Lodge are Locked at all times and are open with a code. At reception, sign in and out books are set up to ensure the counts of residents, visitor and staff are accounted for at all times.
We have taken every measure to ensure that no one is ever injured at our facility. We also have taken care to guard against theft.

- All Exterior Doors Are Alarmed and Monitored
- During a fire automatic door releases are set up on front doors, all secured floors, apartment areas, and all exterior doors
- Grounds/Patios Have Motion-Sensor Lights
- All Mail and Newspapers Delivered Directly to Rooms by staff
- Grab Bars in All Washrooms (Public and Private)
- Handrails in All Corridors
- Fire detection, CO2 detection and sprinkler systems in all buildings
- Receptionist on duty 7 days a week, 8 hours a day (8-4)
- Covered Parking for Residents’ Vehicles
- Cameras in all common areas and corridors (Areas monitored by UCP/RPN in nursing office)
