The home is located in the heart of Ottawa and is walking distance to many amenities for the convenience of our more active residents.
The home consists of three beautifully maintained buildings with many different styles of private rooms available.

Retirement & Assisted living floors
Our home assists residents to live their lives to the fullest. Seniors who may require some assistance with daily living activities may reside in one of our many retirement or Memory care floor suites.
- The main building is our retirement section with 30 rooms available in many styles (Studio and one-bedroom models)
- The central building consists of three floors. Assisted Living floor one is for residents with early stages of Dementia and Alzheimer’s that are not exit seeking.
- Assisted Living floors two and three are our memory care units for residents with advance stages of Dementia and Alzheimer’s that may be exit seeking. These units are on secured floors and require a code to enter and exit.
Independent Living
Residents that meet the medical and physical criteria that proves self-sufficiency may reside in one of our independent living apartments. Parking, phone service and cable access are included in the monthly fees. Residents can participate in activities and a la carte services are also included such as housekeeping and nursing service.
- The independent living building consists of 14 individual apartments in many styles. (Small and large studios, and one bedroom.)
Indoor and outdoor common areas provide socializing amongst the residents, staff and families.
Dining
A large inviting dining room on the main floor provides excellent home cooked meals served daily for the resident’s enjoyment. Three meals and three snacks are provided daily and included in the monthly fees. There are always two main entrees to choose from at lunch and dinner.
On the three assisted living floors there are more quaint dining areas to ensure comfort of our residents. Resident families are welcome to join for meals with advanced notice and for a small fee.
Dementia Care in Ottawa
According to the Geriatric Mental Health Foundation, nearly 10% of all people over age 65 and up to have of those over the age of 85 are thought to have AD or another form of Dementia. Billings Lodge Retirement Community provides dementia care that encompasses a range of support and services designed to improve the quality of life for individuals living with dementia. This includes strategies for maintaining daily routines, managing behavioral changes, providing social and emotional support and ensure residents are treated with respect and empathy at all times. Our staff are professionally trained to manage challenging behaviors, provide social and emotional support and encourage resident centered care.
Nursing care is provided 24 hours per day/7 days a week
Respite/Short term Care
Our home offers respite and short term stays with a minimum of a 30-day contract. Going on a vacation or in need of respite care contact us today for information on pricing.
